Shiny Stars Preschool is a multicultural preschool in the centre of Peterborough. We are a well equipped 28 place preschool with an enclosed outdoor area which provides a wide variety of resources and activities for children to explore

At Shiny Stars Pre-School we provide a wide range of activities to cover all seven areas of learning.
The activities are fun, messy and engaging tailored to children’s ages.
Reading Culture
We provide a wide variety of books for all ages and promote reading at every opportunity. Our story sacks are going home weekly for the children to enjoy reading at home with their parents.
Outdoor Play
Outdoor play is an important part of the curriculum for the preschool children. Children need safe space to run around outside to develop gross motor skills like climbing, scooting, running and riding bikes. Our preschool promotes outdoor play in all weather. If is rains, we take out umbrellas and jump in puddles, if it snows, we have snow ball fights. We have a large garden equipped it with different resources from climbing frames, swings, trampoline which promotes physical development to balanced bikes, mud kitchen and sensory boards which promotes creativity, critical thinking, stimulates imagination and much more. By being outdoors, children learn about seasons, weather and nature.
Interest-Led Adventures
Our curriculum is based on children interest so every day we plan exciting activities, from trips to the local community shops, to bus trips, to visits to the library and museum, to mosques and churches.
Messy Play
Messy play is a fundamental part of children development and in our preschool, we encourage children to play in the mud, water, sand. We make our playdough from scratch and the children are getting involved in making it every day. Messy play offers the children the opportunity to build fine motor skills, sensory experiences, creativity and most important -TO HAVE FUN.
